I have registered to attend the Lotusphere Comes To You event in at the Hyatt Regency in Reston, VA on March 13. Hopefully, I will be able to pick up some nuggets there that I have been able to gleam form blog reports plus I will be able to "network" with other Lotus aficionados in the DC area.

What idiot decided to choose a venue in the DC area that is 9 miles away from the closest Metro stop? This is obviously a person who has no clue what the American Legion Bridge looks like at 8 AM on any given weekday. If they did, they would have taken pity on those of us that live in Maryland! As it stands now, I am unsure exactly what time I am going to have to leave my house to make it there by 8. Is 7 early enough or will the outer loop already be a parking lot? All I know is that they had better not let me get a hold of that person lest they not be able to sit down for a while after the ass chewing I'd like to give. Or better yet, I'll send them across the mixing bowl flyovers during a freezing rain event.

If you are heading to the event, drop a comment here so I can know who to keep an eye out for.

You can take a (Va's version of the metro) metro bus from the metro to the Hyatt probably(or really close by). Usually costs about a $1 each way, but I think you can get a transfer ticket when leaving the metro station that will allow you to pay around .35 cents. There is a whole route planner app on the metro website that will give approximate time frames.

A last minute request may change my schedule to be at the Reston event... I'll post if I end up going.
